Academic Records

Q: How do I change my current mailing address and phone number?
A: Students, can change their current mailing address through http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa/preregistration  by entering their username which is usually their college ID number and password and then Update Address (es) and Phone(s) and all other necessary information.

Q: Why am I considered a non-active or discontinued student?
A: All new students that have not attended the college within the last two consecutive semesters, have low GPA, or have failed more then two times must submit the application to student affairs for obtaining Active status. The application must be submitted to the Student affairs Office room 155.

Q: How do I find my GPA or Grades for courses?
A: There are 3 ways to find your GPA.

       1. Log on to http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa/preregistration  go to unofficial transcript and see your Final Grades. If there are final grades listed,  the GPA for the semester grades and a cumulative GPA will both be listed.

       2. Go to your teacher and get your grades from him.

       3. If you have any problem come to the Registration office and get your unofficial transcript. Please bring your College ID card no request will be processed without ID card.

Q: Why are some of my courses still showing as "In Progress" Or IC?
A: A course will show as "In Progress" until a grade has been submitted by the instructor and recorded at the Registrar's Office or IC grade means In-Complete if student has not submitted his project or any other valid reason.


Q: How do I know what my Academic standing is?
A:  Student is considered in good academic standing when his cumulative GPA is greater then 2 or unless otherwise indicated his transcript.

Registration

Q: Where can I change my schedule?
A: Usually schedule is difficult to be changed however, in special circumstances it can be changed in the first week; student has to visit registrar office room 139.

Q: I want to withdraw from all of my classes, what do I do?
A: You need to come to the Registration office room 137 and obtain a withdrawal form. This will only withdraw you from the current semester's classes. You also need to submit your books to the bookstore and take a stamp on the form. Also take signature from all your course instructors. In the period of WF or WP student must take grades from his respective instructor.


Q: When I should apply for readmission?
A: Student can only apply for readmission when he is discontinued his studies for more then one semester

Q: How do I withdraw from one course?
A: Preparatory students cannot withdraw from one course only. Major students can drop one course if the total number for credit hours is not less than 12 credits.

Q: How do I get admission to DCC?
A: Please look at the following categories and choose the one that applies to your status.

Degree-Seeking Student

If you are a degree-seeking student you will need to fill your registration on http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa  website. If your name appears in the list of admitted students, you have to bring all necessary documents to student affairs in order to get their college ID numbers and ID card.

Visitor Student

If you have never taken classes or want to take only one course then you will need to fill out information in the student affairs.


Q: What does "degree seeking" mean?
A: A student who want to complete his academic plan to take his degree in the major, which he has chosen.

Q: How do I get admission online?
A: Visit http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa student should visit DCC website and check the admission information and the periods for each semester he can apply online through the website or check all information published in current leading local newspaper.

Transcripts

Q: How do I order transcripts?
A: Student has to visit Student affairs office, pay SR 10 riyals, and submit the payment slip to the Registration office room 137 to get an official transcript within 24 hours after submitting his request.


Verification of Enrollment

Q: How can I obtain verification of my enrollment?
A: Check official schedule from the website http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa/preregistration . Go to schedule and see if you have class schedule if not then contact immediately Registration office room 137. Call our office if you have any questions.

Graduation

Q: How I can change my Major?
A: Student has to take a form for his change of major from registration office and then be sure to have the department coordinator sign the form. The department coordinator will assign you a new advisor.
If just completed your prep year and want to select your major then visit http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa/preregistration  online for selecting your major or taken a form from registration office fill it manually and submit it to room 138.
Students who are graduating their names will appear in the Graduate student list. Please check your name by visiting http://www.dcc.kfupm.edu.sa  website please contact registration office room 138 if your name is not appearing in the list.
Take graduate student form from Student affairs, submit it along with your passport copy, National ID or Iqama copy for non Saudi students plus three recent pictures. Once you have completed the form, and have all information then submit it to the Student Affairs office room 155.

Q: How do I fill out the petition form?
A: First, collect the petition form from the Academic Coordinator office room 250. Then you must fill in the information and submit it. Once you have these signatures then you submit the form to the Academic Coordinator will send it to the Academic Standing Committee for consideration. The Core committee generally meets every other week during the semester.
 
Q: What is required of the graduation application?
A: The graduation requirement is that student has completed all his courses mentioned in his degree plan with a minimum GPA of 2.

Q: How do I get a degree audit?
A: Fill out the degree audit form. In order to be eligible for a degree requirement audit, you must be admitted to an associate degree program. An audit will be prepared, when requested for:
An associate degree student who has completed at least 30 semester credits
Once your degree audit is completed, a copy of your degree audit will be informed. It is then up to the student to make an appointment with their major advisor to discuss their audit.

Q: When can I expect to receive my audit?
A:
 We make every attempt to complete your degree audit the semester you request it. However, graduation applications take priority over regular degree audits.

Commencement Information

Q: How and when I can register for summer internship?
A: To be eligible for Summer Internship, students must complete at least 28 credit hours, and fulfill the requirements of their academic department. Student has to visit Vocational Training office room 132 and have to fill the form

Q: Do I get an actual diploma Certificate?
A: Student has to go to the Student Affairs office room 155 to get his official Graduate certificate
